Contemplative Practice in Community @Keystone Online

Could your Spirit use a little restoration & fortification these days, or what?  We have prepared a little offering.  Come however you are!  Lectio divina practice is for connection — personal, spiritual, and collective. The practice will take place on Wednesday August 5, from 6:30-7 p.m.

“We have all known the long loneliness and we have learned that the only solution is love and that love comes with community.”  ~ Dorothy Day

Come to ‘rest in God’ as Pastor Lauren & Rita P. lead us through a simple brief practice to reflect on a scripture and offer our Spirits some quiet, in community.

Come just as you are, Keystone.  Zero prep needed, just bring a Bible (or pull one up on your phone) and carve out a quiet spot, to video or call in.  (Look for the Cheat Sheet with the link on Wed. Aug. 5.)

We are with one another, in this long haul!  We continue to stay safe & stay home, amidst Covid 19 pandemic.  So try out 20 minutes or so of this nourishing & restorative reflection, called lectio divina.  Connect with other Keystone folks, as we share some quiet.

On Wed. Aug. 5 we will use Matthew 14: 22-33, if you want to peek at one of our lectionary texts for Sun. Aug. 9.

Wednesday Nights at Keystone (April 16)

Join us every Wednesday night for a short Lectio Divina practice, beginning at 6 p.m. and running until 6:20 p.m., using the scripture for the following Sunday as a meditative focus. After that practice the space opens up for our community nights, beginning at 6:30 p.m. The schedule for the next several weeks includes:

TONIGHT: Tonight we'll continue telling stories under the theme of "Transcendence." Tonight’s storyteller: John Preson.

Concerns of the World: A new focus for our Wednesday community gatherings is a night dedicated each month where we can come together to share our concerns about things that are going on the world. Come to vent, worry, and pray in community about the things that are happening around us all. The first night of this gathering will be Oct. 28.

Green Team: The next Green Team meeting will be 6:30 p.m. Nov. 4, in the Keystone Zoom space. Focus: Jim Antel’s book Climate Church, Climate World, Chapters 5 and 6.

Our Wednesday night community space opens up at 6:20 p.m., after the weekly Lectio Divina practice, with the evening gathering officially starting at 6:30 p.m., in the same Zoom space we use on Sunday mornings and for our other gatherings (look for a Cheat Sheet with the info coming in your email every Wednesday night!).
